Why Should I Have Place Cards?
A place card is a card that has a person's name
on it and displayed at a specific table in front of
a specific chair that you wish that person sit.
This is a more formal process for many weddings and
special events especially if you are having a seated
meal.
If you are having a buffet style for a smaller
group of 50 people or less for example; you may or
may not wish to have specific seating assignments.
However, having seating assignments also works
especially well if you are going to have special
food needs, such as; vegetarian or gluten free meals
for specific guests so that the waitstaff can
easily identify which table and guest has specific
food requirements for them to deliver. Special
food needs are becoming very common requiring
special consideration.
